Inspired by a drawing by Egon Schiele, I took out my pencil box and sketched this girl laying on the floor… dead.
I guess I got influenced by this Halloween mood.
The association of the warmth coming from the feminine curves with the coldness of a dead body can lead to a whole lot of interesting artistic ideas. I will probably create some more works on this subject: confounding – contradictory – repugnant – self-contradictory – incongruous – schizophrenic.
